Netanyahu: A Moroccan delegation is visiting Israel this week to strengthen ties

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today, Saturday, that a Moroccan delegation will visit Israel this week to “strengthen relations.”

“We agreed that the Moroccan delegation will come here at the beginning of the week in order to move forward with everything,” Netanyahu said in a video on Twitter, in which he described talks with Moroccan King Mohammed VI on Friday.

He added that he ended his conversation with the Moroccan monarch with the phrase “I feel that it is the beginning of a beautiful friendship”, which was taken from the movie “Casablanca” (Casablanca).

An Israeli delegation traveled to Morocco on Tuesday as the two sides plan to reopen their liaison offices and launch direct commercial flights.

Morocco followed the path of the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan to move towards normalizing relations with Israel, while the Palestinians denounced the agreements brokered by the United States and considered them a betrayal of an old demand that Israel first implement their request for the establishment of a Palestinian state.
