The director general of Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, Ze’ev Rochten, accused the Israeli Ministry of Health of obstructing the approval of the Russian vaccine against Corona “Sputnik V”, due to political considerations.
“This (Russian) vaccine is similar to other vaccines, and it has been given to forty thousand people, without showing any side effects,” Rochten said during a session held by the Parliamentary Committee for State Control.
He indicated that the reason for not approving it, “may be because the vaccine was developed in Russia.”
The Russian mission to the United Nations confirmed that Russia will provide its vaccine against the Coronavirus “Sputnik V” to the United Nations, today, Wednesday.
It is reported that the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against the Coronavirus, produced by the Gamalia Research Center, became last August the first officially registered vaccine in the world against the Corona virus.
