People’s Assembly on Monday discussed the performance of Interior Ministry and issues related to its work.
The Assembly held a session, chaired by Speaker Hammouda Sabbagh, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Correctionist Movement.
Sabbagh said the late leader, Hafez al-Assad, who adopted the correction track, made Syria a difficult figure in facing the equations of the new colonialism and its plots in the region, pointing out that the wars and the siege imposed on Syria come as a result of the great Syrian people’s adherence to the Correction approach.
A number of MPs pointed out that the glorious Correctionist Movement formed the solid base for building a strong state capable of protecting its sovereignty from the enemies which attempt to target it.
