Senior assistant to Iranian Foreign Minister for Special Political Affairs, Ali Asghar Khaji and UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, discussed the latest developments in Syria and means of solving the crisis in the county.
During the meeting, Khaji stressed the importance of finding solutions for the return of the Syrian refugees as a humanitarian issue whose positive results would contribute to push the political solution to the crises in Syria forwards, calling on the international community to effectively participate in the international conference of refugees in Damascus scheduled this month.
Pedersen and Khaji reviewed the progress achieved regarding the convening of the upcoming meeting of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution.
