Iran declares a state of health emergency in all countries due to the severity of the outbreak of the Coronavirus

On Friday, the Iranian Ministry of Health declared a state of emergency in the country’s health system, and issued an order prohibiting any surgical operations in Iranian hospitals except for emergency cases until further notice.

This comes, with the aim of allowing space to receive people infected with the Coronavirus in light of the intensification of the outbreak of the epidemic in Iran.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the implementation of a decision issued by the National Committee to Combat Corona, to require citizens to wear masks in all public and private places, including the streets, will begin in Tehran, and the Basij forces will begin distributing free masks in main squares to citizens.

The Tehran Province had announced the re-imposition of some closure measures in the Iranian capital for a full week, amid the increasing spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Ministry of Health announced, today, Friday, that 4,142 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded, and the total has risen to 492,378.

The ministry also announced 210 new deaths from the Coronavirus, and the total rose to 28,098.
