40 new rehabilitated schools to be put into service in Aleppo with beginning of second semester

The School Buildings Department at Aleppo Education Directorate has been continuing the rehabilitation and maintenance of schools that have been damaged as a result of the terrorists’ attacks in the city and the countryside as a part of the education ministry’s plan in this context.

The renovation and maintenance works include the following schools (Abdul-Razzaq Darwish in Masaken Hanano neighborhood and the Fourth Industrial High School in the Suleiman al-Halabi neighborhood and Bassam al-Omar school in Seif al- Dowleh. neighborhood).

Director of Aleppo Education Directorate Ibrahim Masou affirmed the directorate’s keenness on speeding up the renovation works to address the problem of classroom density and guarantee a high-quality education, referring to the ministry’s efforts to provide all the requirements of the educational process.

Masou noted out that 40 new schools will be put into service with the end of maintenance work and the beginning of the second semester of the current school year, indicating that the number of schools in Aleppo before the war was 4,040 schools and the number of schools that have been renovated after the city was liberated from terrorism reached 488.
