Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said today, Tuesday, that his country is ready to provide military support to Azerbaijan in its war against Armenia in the Karabakh region.
The Turkish foreign minister added, “We stand with Azerbaijan, whether in the field or at the negotiating table. We want to solve this issue from its roots.” He added, “The only solution to the occupied Karabakh problem lies in the withdrawal of Armenia from the Azerbaijani lands, and there is no settlement without that.”
Since last Sunday, Faragh province and its neighboring regions have witnessed violent battles between the Azerbaijani army and the Armenian forces of the unrecognized “Karabakh Republic”, which has the support of Armenia.
Azerbaijan and Turkey accuse Yerevan of waging “aggression” against its territory.
