Caretaker Prime Minister Hussein Arnous confirmed that work on repairing the Arab gas line, which was subjected to a terrorist attack on Monday at dawn, is proceeding at a rapid pace, adding that by evening the line will be fully operation and will be pumping gas to Deir Ali station.
While inspecting the maintenance teams working to fix the Arab gas line in the area between ِAl-Dumeir and Adra, Arnous said that 1100 MW went out of service at one moment due to the terrorist attack on the gas line that supplies the stations has led to the disruption of the power grid and a general power outage.
He added that thanks to the efforts of the workers of the Electricity Ministry and the Petroleum Ministry, the state of the electricity output in Syria had improved by 8:00 am and exceeded 60%.
In Turn, Caretaker Information Minister Imad Sara stressed from the site that the attack on the gas line aims at putting pressure on Syria, especially that it coincidences with holding the meeting of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution in Geneva, adding that there are some sides that want to obtain compromises but they will not get what they want.
