“This is a rosophoria mixed with misinformation and counterfeiting,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on a British parliamentary report on alleged Russian interference in British domestic politics.
Zakharova added that the publication of this report did not cause much fanfare, as they expected.
Earlier, the British Parliament’s Intelligence and Security Committee claimed that Russia tried to influence the 2014 referendum on Scottish independence.
The committee’s report, which was published today, Tuesday, and conveyed its information “about some comments from credible open sources”, said that Russia had organized a campaign to influence the Scottish independence referendum in 2014.
