Hussein Al-Muhammad, the director of Al-Assad University Hospital in Damascus, said that he is currently subject to self-quarantine after symptoms of corona appear on him.
The local radio Al-Madinah quoted Muhammad as awaiting the result of a smear taken from him to determine whether he was injured, indicating that his condition is stable.
On information circulated about his infection with the virus, he said that he is vulnerable to infection like any other citizen, especially as the medical staff is in direct contact with patients.
Sources at the hospital designated to treat corona sufferers confirmed to RT that a number of hospital employees and medical staff are infected with the virus.
