Washington,(ST)-Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi reiterated that US President Donald Trump caused a crisis in the country with the outbreak of the emerging Corona virus, noting that thousands of Americans have died due to his wrong response to the epidemic.
Reuters quoted Pelosi as saying in an interview with the American CNN channel, “We are close to four million people infected with this virus and a large number of deaths of approximately 140,000 cases … If wearing a mask is important now as Trump does, it would have been better to wear it in March instead of to say that by April we will all be able to go to churches … let’s hope that the president is close to understanding the reality of this epidemic … it’s the Trump virus.
“Trump‘s comments show that he recognized the mistakes he made as he wore a muzzle and admitted that it was not a hoax but an epidemic that would get worse before getting better because of his failure,” she added.
Yesterday, US Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden renewed criticism of Trump, stressing that the United States is paying the price of his staying in power because of his mismanagement of the emerging Corona virus crisis.
