Wang stressed that any attempt to deflect from the historical trend of the Chinese and American peoples looking for greater exchanges and cooperation will never be successful.
Wang expressed “China’s strong dissatisfaction and opposition to the words of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who maliciously attacked the Communist Party of China and the socialist system, and directed fierce criticism of China’s domestic and foreign policies,” adding that Pompeo‘s speech, “which distorts facts and is not based on prejudice, is full of bias Ideology and the Cold War mentality, with a mixture of political lies about China, were recently invented by prominent American politicians. ”
Wang pointed out that China has made official protests to the American side.
Wang said, “In order to divert attention from things inside the United States by slandering China to achieve some political gains, many American politicians continue to stoke ideological rivalry, gossip about changing China, rejecting China-US relations and sowing discord between China and other countries.” .
Wang continued, “The deluded Americans will not be deceived by the American people and the international community.”
“But for these American politicians who fabricate lies about China and spread misrepresentations against it, we believe that history is fair and accurate, and that any attempt to back away from the direction of history will not succeed if it goes against the desire of the Chinese and American people,” he added.
Wang stressed that China’s foreign policy toward the United States is consistent and clear, stressing: “We are committed to developing a Sino-US relationship based on non-conflict and confrontation, and on mutual respect and win-win cooperation. At the same time, we are firmly committed to our interests of sovereignty, security and development. ”
He continued, “We urge the United States to abandon its cold war mentality and ideological bias, to look at China and China-US relations fairly, refrain from those negative words and actions, and create the conditions that bring bilateral relations back to the normal course.”
