As of Friday, 7 Arab countries announced the prevention of Eid Al-Adha prayers in all mosques and squares, and restricting them to one or specific mosques and strict controls and requirements, in order to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced the prevention of Eid al-Adha prayers in open spaces, as part of preventive measures to curb the Corona outbreak.
And decided to adopt only the mosques and mosques that are prepared for the Eid al-Adha prayers.
The Moroccan Ministry of Islamic Affairs also announced that it is prohibited to perform Eid prayers in mosques, and it is permissible to perform them at home without a sermon.
Egypt also announced that it is permitted to perform Eid Al-Adha prayers in only one of the country’s major mosques, with a limited number.
The Iraqi Ministry of Health said that a comprehensive curfew was imposed in the country during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, to prevent the spread of the virus, which means preventing prayers in all mosques and squares.
In Algeria, the Fatwa Ministerial Committee announced, in a statement, that Eid Al-Adha prayers are performed in groups or individually and without sermons.
In Syria, the Ministry of Endowments announced that the Eid Al-Adha prayers would not be held in the governorates of Damascus and Damascus countryside, due to the increased epidemic.
In the Gulf, Saif Al Dhaheri, spokesman for the UAE National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, announced in a press statement that it was decided that Eid Al-Adha prayers would be held in homes, provided that the takbeers were broadcast through visual and audio means.
