The WHO reveals three hotbeds of the increasing spread of the Corona virus, including an Arab country

The World Health Organization has stated that Africa will see a steady increase in Corona infections until a vaccine is found that indicates the need to impose robust measures in existing hotspots such as South Africa, Algeria and Cameroon.

“Until we come up with an effective vaccine, I fear that we will likely have to coexist with a steady increase in the region, and some proliferation hotspots in a number of countries will have to be dealt with,” Machidiso Moiti, WHO Regional Director for Africa, said in a press release in Geneva on Thursday. It is currently the case in South Africa, Algeria and Cameroon, for example, which requires the imposition of very strong public health and social deportation measures.

Yesterday, the death toll from the newly infected Corona virus in the African continent exceeded the threshold of 200,000 confirmed cases, including 5,486 deaths.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, recently warned that millions of people in Africa are threatened by extreme poverty, due to the Corona epidemic, calling for increased “international solidarity” with this continent.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations also called on the international community to provide assistance to African countries in combating the repercussions of the Corona epidemic.
