New York, the economic capital of the United States of America, is subject to a night curfew after its shops have been subjected to vandalism and looting in the course of protests against the killing of George Floyd.

Luxury stores in the Manhattan area of ​​New York were subjected to looting, such as “Nike” and “Lego” stores and electronic stores in the city center, before the curfew went into effect from 23:00 until five in the morning Tuesday local time.

And the American authorities imposed a curfew in New York and about 40 other cities in the country, after the protests that erupted after the killing of the African American, George Floyd, by the police in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has announced the deployment of thousands of heavily armed soldiers and police personnel to “stop the riots, looting, vandalism, attacks and brutal destruction of property” in Washington and other American cities.
