Taboun: Some countries have not complied with the Berlin Agreement to stop pumping arms to Libya

On Friday, Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun stressed on Friday that Algeria seeks to preserve the blood of Libyans and that the solution to the crisis is not a military one.

He stressed that his country has no expansionist or economic ambitions in the neighboring country and all it wants is to stop the fighting.

Abdel-Majid Taboun stated that “Libya is heading toward the Syrian scenario” and that the solution is not a military one, indicating that the conflicting parties in Syria are almost the same as they are currently fighting in Libya.

He continued, saying: “Libya is heading towards the fate of Somalia if the conflict does not stop,” adding that the tides in the country do not attract Algeria nor interfere in it.

Taboun confirmed that Algeria stands at the same distance from all the Libyan parties because Algeria’s only goal is to protect the borders and inject the blood of the Libyan brothers, especially since the calls for a cease-fire come whenever one party overcomes the other.

And that Algeria is the only country that can bring together the Libyan parties, and that both the leader of the “Libyan National Army”, Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter, and the head of the reconciliation government, Fayez al-Sarraj, have expressed their willingness to accept Algerian mediation, despite the fact that the matter is difficult in reality, especially with “lack of commitment Some countries agree to the Berlin Agreement to stop pumping arms to Libya. ”

The Algerian president stated that he “has no objection to dealing with neighboring countries, whether Egypt or Tunisia, in order to reach a solution to the crisis.
