Iranian Presidency: The assassination of Soleimani did not change our support for Syria, and together we will face the law of “Caesar”

Isaac Jahangiri, Iranian Vice President, said that the assassination of former Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani, had not changed any of Iran‘s policies in support of Syria.

Jahangiri’s statements came during a phone call with Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous, in which he assured him that Iran would not hesitate to take any action to ease the pressure imposed on Syria, indicating that Syria “will reach its strength, calm, and stability again.”

Jahangiri added that the steadfastness of Syria “government, people and army in the face of problems has given results”, considering that Damascus has made good achievements.

Arnous had discussed with the advisor to the first vice president of Iran and the head of the Iranian Economic Relations Development Committee with Syria and Iraq, Hassan Danaey Far, the necessary steps to enhance economic cooperation in the face of US sanctions and the “Caesar” law.
