Iran: America’s behavior is illegal and violates international obligations on nuclear cooperation

Kazem Gharib Abadi, Iran’s permanent ambassador and delegate to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna, stressed that America’s behavior is illegal and violates international obligations regarding international nuclear cooperation and works to create obstacles in this area.

In an official letter to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Gharibabadi described the American actions toward the Iranian nuclear program as contradicting the Agency’s internal regulations, Article IV of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, resolutions of the IAEA General Conference and the nuclear agreement between Iran and the five plus one group and Resolution 2231 issued by the Security Council International.
