Bolton insists on publishing his memoirs even without the approval of the White House

John Bolton, the former US Assistant to the National Security Assistant, plans to publish his notes at the end of June, even if the White House does not agree.

The Washington Post quoted an informed source as saying that Bolton was sure that he had removed from the book all the confidential information.

According to the newspaper, these notes will constitute “the most detailed criticism” from a former official who holds this high position.

In the 592-page book, Bolton will address a number of issues related to the United States foreign policy, including with regard to Ukraine, Venezuela, Iran and North Korea.

Bolton’s book “The Room Where It Happened: The White House Diary” was scheduled to be published in March, but the publication was postponed until May. In late April, it became known that the publication had been postponed to June 23.

According to the newspaper, the White House has not yet received formal approval to publish the book, because of the continued verification of the existence of classified information in it. Earlier, President Donald Trump said that Bolton should not publish the book before the November 3 presidential election.
