Iran‘s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, Kazem Gharib Abadi, reiterated that the United States and its allies continue to create obstacles against Iran at the IAEA.
In a tweet on Instagram today, Abadi said: “The quarterly meeting of the Agency’s Board of Governors will start its work next Monday, but due to the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, the meeting will be held via video conference.” He added: “America and some Western countries are trying to provide the possibility of decision-making by voting at this meeting. The default is that necessary. ”
Abadi pointed out that Washington is trying to weaken the international mechanisms and methods of work prevailing in international organizations, indicating that the agenda of the meeting has not been finalized until now, but that the reports of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding verification of the implementation of the nuclear agreement in Iran as well as the safeguards agreement will be discussed.
Abadi had previously sent a message to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency warning that America‘s unlawful behavior towards its international obligations in the areas of nuclear cooperation and its fabrication of obstacles in this area.
