The United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People affirmed that the Palestinian people face serious challenges as a result of violations of the Israeli occupation, the latest of which is the plan to annex parts of the West Bank in light of the world’s preoccupation with confronting the Corona pandemic.
In a statement yesterday, the UN committee clarified that the occupation authorities continue their violations against the Palestinian people and the blockade of the Gaza Strip, and recently announced their plan to annex parts of the West Bank in a serious violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions, including resolution 2016- 2334, which calls for an end to the Israeli occupation and the achievement of people’s rights. The UN Committee called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take urgent measures to confront the scheme of the settler occupation to prevent annexation, mobilize international support and solidarity with the Palestinian people, and provide them with international protection.
