On Wednesday, two earthquakes struck, describing their intensity as moderate, the first with a magnitude of 3.7 degrees, east of El-Arish in Egypt, and the second with a magnitude of 3.5, Araba Valley in the south of the Dead Sea.
The stations of the National Seismological Network of the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Egypt recorded an earthquake at dawn today at approximately three in the local time, with a magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter scale and at a depth of 4 km, in the Dead Sea, and is 140 km east of the city of El-Arish and 160 Km southwest of Amman, Jordan.
The Jordanian Seismological Observatory recorded, at about 4.am local time, an earthquake measuring 3.5 degrees on the Richter scale, 45 km west of the city of Tafilah, at a depth of one kilometer.
The observatory had recorded on the tenth of last April an earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale, and occurred in Araba valley, 30 km west of the city of Tafilah and 20 km south of the Dead Sea, at a depth of 21 km.
