US President Donald Trump used a veto against a Congressional decision to limit his powers to take military action against Iran, today.
And the “AP” reported that Trump considered in a statement published by the White House that he used the veto because it is a very “insulting decision” put forward by Democrats as part of their strategy to win the elections scheduled for November 3 by dividing the Republican Party.
Both houses of Congress had dealt a heavy blow to the Republican president in March when he issued this decision limiting the powers of President Donald Trump to launch a war against Iran after growing fears that Trump could take a reckless decision to launch a war on Iran without consulting the Congress, which was supported by the Democratic opposition and part of Republican lawmakers.
It is noteworthy that the US House of Democrats dominated last January its own version of this decision, after the Trump administration committed the assassination of Lieutenant-General Qassem Soleimani and the Iranian missile response that followed on the base of Ein al-Assad in Iraq, where American forces are deployed and its successors Losses and injuries among these forces.
