The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recorded 1,300,696 people infected with the Corona virus in the United States, an increase of 26,660 cases from the previous figure.
The centers’ statistics indicated that the number of deaths increased by 1737 cases to 78,771 cases throughout the country.
The figures for the American centers represent what was recorded until four in the evening, EST, (eight o’clock GMT) for the ninth of this month, compared to its statistics the day before.
The data confirmed that between Saturday and Sunday, the United States recorded more than 1.6 thousand deaths and 25 thousand new infections with the Corona virus.
Johns Hopkins University, which launched a project to follow up the outbreak in the country and the world, reported that the death toll from the pandemic in the United States rose on May 9, by 1615 new deaths, while the total number of virus infections in the country rose by 25,621 new infections.
According to the latest university data, 130,951 “Covid-19” cases were recorded in the United States, including 78,794 deaths, which is more than twice the outcome of any other country in the world.
