The governmental team concerned with the measures to tackle the Corona epidemic: The travel ban between the governorates has been removed from next Tuesday until May 30

The government team on the procedures to tackle the Corona epidemic affirmed the continued closure of border crossings with the possibility of resorting to the imposition of a “total curfew” according to the variables related to the virus, reiterating the importance of awareness by citizens and the highest levels of care and responsibility in terms of adherence to health safety requirements outside and inside the home.

The government team also decided to cancel the travel ban imposed between the governorates from the morning of next Tuesday, the 19th to the 30th of May, and with the commitment to the night curfew.

It was decided to prevent any manifestations of gatherings related to Eid, especially children’s games with all its components, and the games halls at the level of all administrative units in the governorates.

The government team emphasized continuing to prevent the holding of social events “weddings and condolences” and mandating the police and neighborhood committees in all villages and towns to prevent the organization of any social events.

It was decided to continue to close the tourist facilities, parks, restaurants, cafes and public parks during the Eid period.

A letter was approved by the Ministry of Local Administration regarding the continued work of the formed committees in the governorates to ensure that service providers adhere to health safety requirements and reduce market congestion.

As part of the procedures to restore economic and financial activity, it was agreed to reopen the trading of the Damascus Stock Exchange throughout the week.
