Russia and Syria have accused the World Health Organization of putting pressure in line with the interests of the West, and the United States in particular, at the expense of the Syrian people in light of the outbreak of Corona virus.

Moscow and Damascus urged the WHO to “reconsider its approach to observing the fundamental principles of the United Nations and to stop the practice of manipulating public opinion imposed by Western countries.”
The statement denied the validity of the allegations published by pro-US media about Moscow and Damascus allegedly preventing the passage of a humanitarian aid convoy agreed to enter Rakban camp in southern Syria on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, noting that these reports are nothing but a media “pump” behind the gunmen.
The statement affirmed the Syrian government‘s readiness to provide assistance to the citizens stuck in Rukban if it regains control of the area, as it helped all those who left the camp to the lands under state control in the past.
