Italy reports a sharp increase in deaths due to the Corona virus

Italy today recorded a sharp increase in the number of deaths due to the Corona virus, as this toll increased by 474 deaths compared to 269 in yesterday’s statistic.

The head of the Italian Civil Defense Authority, Angelo Borelli, said that the general number of registered deaths due to the Corona virus amounted to 28710 deaths, noting that the outcome of the new infections witnessed a relative stability, where 1900 cases were recorded compared to 1965 yesterday, and the total number so far reached 209,328 cases.

For its part, Japan recorded the largest increase in the death toll from the Corona virus since its outbreak began in the country with 31 new cases.

The Japanese Ministry of Health reported in its statistics that 15 of the new deaths were recorded in the capital, Tokyo, noting that the general number of victims of the disease amounted to 530 people, while the total number of injuries rose by 306 cases to 15589 injuries.

In Turkey, 78 new deaths were recorded, bringing the total death toll from the virus to 3336 cases, while 1983 new infections were recorded, bringing the total to 123,475 cases.

In Egypt, the Ministry of Health announced 298 new infections and 9 deaths from the Corona virus, bringing the total to 6,193 infections, while the total deaths reached 415 cases.

For its part, Algerian health authorities announced that the total number of deaths from the virus was 459 cases, an increase of 6 deaths, while the total number of infections reached 4,295 cases, after 141 new infections were recorded.

In Iraq, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 66 new cases of the virus, for a total of 2219 cases, while one new death was recorded, bringing the total deaths to 95.
