Damascus strongly condemns Netanyahu’s statements about annexing lands in the West Bank

Damascus has strongly condemned the statements of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to annex more Palestinian lands in the West Bank to Israel.

SANA news agency quoted an official source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants as saying that these statements come in the context of the aggressive expansionist behavior of the usurping Zionist entity and its continuous violation and contempt for international legitimacy and its decisions regarding the legal status of the occupied territories, especially after the Israeli decision regarding Jerusalem and the occupied Syrian Golan.

And she saw that those violations are only the result of the unlimited support provided by successive American administrations to the occupation at the expense of Arab rights and interests.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry called on the international community to take action to “put an end to the Israeli and American predecessors and persistence on international legitimacy”, which it said “constitutes a serious threat to security and stability in the region and the world.”

The official Syrian source said that “the Israeli aggression targets the entire nation and no one is safe from its evils.”

He demanded a responsible historical position “to defend the nation’s issues and interests and reject any form of normalization with this usurping entity.”
