Three officials in the White House charged with fighting Covid-19 are being quarantined because of suspicions that they have contracted Corona virus, including epidemiologist Anthony Fuchi.
American media initially said that Robert Rodfeld, director of the Center for Infectious Diseases Prevention (CDC), and Anthony Fuchi, an epidemiologist who works as a White House counselor, had put themselves in quarantine after contacting people with HIV.
The third official is Stephen Han, who heads the US Food and Drug Administration and the body responsible for overseeing food and medicine.
This information comes in the wake of the announcement that Katie Miller, a spokeswoman for US Vice President Mike Pines, has undergone a new HIV test.
