Brazilian Health Minister submits his resignation

Brazilian Health Minister Nelson Tech submitted his resignation today, Friday, amid a sharp deterioration of the health conditions in his country against the backdrop of an accelerating spread of the Corona virus.

Tic’s media office said he had submitted a formal request for resignation, and later Friday he would hold a press conference to explain his decision.

Titch’s resignation comes less than a month after he assumed the duties of the Brazilian health minister, as the country became one of the largest hotbeds of the new epidemic in the world.

Brazil is currently the sixth country in the world in terms of the number of infections with Corona virus with 206,507 registered cases, as well as the sixth in terms of the number of victims of the pandemic with 14,131 cases.
