The United States recorded about 2,600 people killed by the emerging corona virus within 24 hours, the highest daily toll ever recorded by a country in the world.
“The Covid Epidemic 19 claimed the lives of 2569 people in the United States within 24 hours,” bringing the total death toll from the epidemic in this country to 28,326 deaths, the French Press Agency quoted Johns Hopkins University as saying.
The previous record daily death toll for Covid 19 was recorded a day earlier in the United States as well, at 2,228 deaths.
At the end of last week, the United States became the first country in the world in terms of the number of deaths caused by the deadly epidemic.
The United States also ranks first in the world in the number of people infected with the epidemic, who numbered more than 637 thousand infected, noting that approximately 2.3 million people in this country have undergone a laboratory examination to date to verify whether they are infected with the virus or not.
