Brazil has crossed the threshold of 5,000 deaths with Covid 19 after recording a record number of 474 deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health announced today.

The ministry said in a statement reported by AFP that the death toll had increased, noting that it was examining 1,156 deaths suspected of being Covid 19.
