The government team concerned with the strategy to tackle the Corona epidemic decided to stop exporting legumes, dairy products, cheese, eggs, chlorine and javel water for a month starting from its date to provide for the local market need and reduce its prices and allow the Syrian Trade Corporation to import calves with the intention of fattening and slaughtering in order to secure sufficient quantities of red meat in its halls at prices In addition to the approval of the Ministry of Industry, it is supported by selling all the production of its food establishments to the Syrian Corporation for Trade to provide it to citizens in the institution’s galleries spread in all governorates at reasonable prices.

The government team, during its meeting today headed by Eng. Imad Khamis, the Prime Minister, evaluated the reality of local markets and the implications of the precautionary measures taken on the availability of basic materials in them and instructed the Ministry of Interior Trade and Consumer Protection to provide a detailed note that includes the cost of producing each of these materials and the reasons for their high prices so that they can be studied during Cabinet meeting next week and take strict measures in this regard.

It was decided to assign the Ministry of Internal Trade to determine the prices of bottled mineral water in the Ministry of Industry and to hand over 25 percent of its production to the Syrian Trade Corporation to provide it to citizens.

The government team decided to provide facilities for the importers regarding the basic documents required for the import process in the event that they are not available, provided that these documents are secured within two months, after taking the necessary tests to ensure the quality of the imported materials and their conformity with the approved specifications.

Within the framework of the measures taken to control sterile and detergent prices and to fight monopoly cases, the ministries of Health, Industry, Economy and Foreign Trade were mandated to set a unified rate for sterilizers and alcohol to be approved and to compel pharmacies and private sector enterprises to abide by them.

The government team assigned the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to submit proposals on the appropriate support mechanism for daily and seasonal workers to be studied during the cabinet meeting early next week.

The government team evaluated the mechanism for granting work duties during the curfew period and a request was made by the Federation of Chambers of Industry to require the owners of productive establishments to submit the required data with the names of their workers so that they can be granted the required work tasks provided that the owner of the facility undertakes to register all workers excluded from the curfew in social insurance, knowing that branches The insurance is ready to receive registration requests in all governorates.

A request was made from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce to provide the ministries of economy and internal trade and consumer protection and the governors with a list that includes the names of cadres whose continued work in distributing basic materials to citizens requires work assignments during the curfew period.

It was decided to limit the activity of public construction companies during this period by implementing basic production projects according to the priorities imposed by the continuation of the production process during this period.

It was decided to allow agricultural pharmacies and nurseries to produce trees to work in order to secure the need of the agricultural sector.

The government team instructed the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to take the necessary steps in cooperation with the relevant authorities to enhance the measures taken in homes for the elderly, orphans and people with special needs in terms of addressing the Corona virus in terms of attention to diet and increase the effectiveness of health and preventive measures taken.

The government team reviewed the stages of completing the unified protocol for treating cases infected with Corona virus, which is being developed by the technical advisory team specializing in benefiting from the experiences of friendly countries, which will be circulated to all hospitals and health centers in Syria to unify the mechanism of work in it to deal with the virus.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Nizar Yazji, made a presentation on the measures taken to increase the readiness of the health sector in all governorates to address the new Corona epidemic, where five centers were approved for examination in the governorates, and that these centers should be expanded gradually in the other governorates, and it was decided to adopt a specific incentive mechanism for the medical team concerned with addressing Corona epidemic and intensified efforts to secure their needs of protective equipment and means.

The relevant ministries were asked to coordinate with the Ministry of Health to adopt hotlines to respond to citizens’ inquiries about the Corona virus, in line with the Ministry of Health‘s guidelines in this regard.

The government team concerned decided to extend the curfew throughout the Syrian Arab Republic during Friday and Saturday of each week starting from 12 noon until 6 am in order to reduce gatherings and crowds accompanying the holidays, provided that the exit of citizens from their homes is limited during the period allowed to secure Their basic needs.

In the context of the measures taken to restrict movement in areas with high population density in order to preserve public safety, the government team studied a gradual isolation mechanism for overcrowded areas and decided to isolate the Sayyida Zainab area in the Damascus countryside governorate.
