An Arab president sends a message to the Syrian president

The Mauritanian President, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazwany, has sent a message of congratulations to the Syrian President, Bashar Al-Assad, on the occasion of the evacuation day (the last French soldier left from Syria).

In the congratulatory telegram, the Mauritanian President expressed his warmest congratulations on the National Day of Syria, “wishing the brotherly Syrian people further progress and prosperity.”

He stressed “to continue to work to strengthen and develop the existing cooperative relations between the two countries in the interest of the two brotherly peoples.”

The Syrians celebrate on the seventeenth of April each year the anniversary of the evacuation of the “French colonizer” from Syria in 1946, recalling the heroic ancestors who sacrificed for the independence of Syria.
