Governmental decisions in the framework of the procedures to tackle Corona .. Facilitate the distribution of food supplies and bread, secure transportation for the military, and pay mid-month salaries

In the context of the daily review of the precautionary measures taken by the government to address the Corona epidemic and ensure that it does not negatively affect the daily life of citizens, the government team adopted, during its meeting today, headed by Eng. Imad Khamis, Prime Minister, a set of new decisions.

The team decided to allocate the cars to which the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection was provided to distribute the food supplies and bread material in urban and rural centers, to announce the timing of their work and the locations of their operation in a way that ensures the citizens benefit directly from them and to instruct all public agencies to allocate places in their institutions as outlets to sell bread to citizens To alleviate congestion in bakeries in parallel with the Ministry of Internal Trade establishing the appropriate mechanism to nominate accredited persons in all governorates in a manner that takes into account the need of each governorate.

The Ministry of Internal Trade was also asked to issue instructions to bakeries and mills to provide the necessary protection and sterilizers for workers therein, and to tighten measures taken to comply with hygiene conditions and ensure the safety of baking material, provided that governors provide the necessary transportation for bakery workers and mills to ensure their production at maximum capacity.

The Minister of Information made a presentation that included monitoring by media organizations of the reality of markets and prices during the recent period. Accordingly, it was decided to make more efforts to control prices and import 5,000 tons of potatoes within a week, and to propose the necessary incentives to receive the entire next season from farmers to secure the need of the local market from them.

The government team also approved the proposal of the Ministry of Finance related to providing salaries for workers in public institutions throughout the month that the salary block be fed to each public entity in a gradual manner, with the aim of alleviating congestion.

It was decided to assign the governors to secure the transportation means between the governorates for the military during their holidays through the conduct of special Pullman trips according to the need in addition to allocating internal transport buses for the benefit of the industrial areas and cities in the governorates to secure the transportation of workers to the productive facilities located there.

During the meeting, it was decided to request the formed emergency committees chaired by the governors to follow up on the facilities specialized in the production of sterilizers and detergents to ensure the quality of the produced materials and their observance of the approved specifications in addition to allowing the elements of the food patrols to carry out the necessary tours on the pharmacies to ensure their commitment to the approved pricing.

The Ministry of Information was asked to issue the necessary decisions to stop the filming of all films and series of private sector companies, as was the case by the General Organization for Cinema in the Ministry of Culture and the TV Production Corporation at the Ministry of Information to stop all filming operations taking place in it.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has been assigned to form a specialized technical committee of experienced academic cadres to provide periodic reports and technical and medical consultations to support the efforts of the Ministry of Health in developing health and preventive measures necessary to confront the Corona virus.

The Minister of Interior gave a presentation on following up the decisions taken to close commercial markets and the positive and negative results resulting from them. The Minister of Local Administration and Environment also made a presentation on the reports received from the governors to monitor the results of precautionary measures with a view to remedying their negative effects on the living reality of citizens.

The meeting discussed the Ministry of Education‘s plan to equip schools in the governorates and put them at the disposal of the Ministry of Health as quarantine places that can be used when needed.
