A slight marine tremor measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale struck at a depth of 20 km off the Syrian coast at the “Lebanese-Syrian borders”.
And the National Seismological Center said in a statement that Sana received a copy of it that the tremor occurred at two and 21 minutes at dawn today local time and is a distance of 53 km west of the city of Tartus and did not cause any damage.
A strong earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale and with a depth of 10 km was observed on the 24th of last January near the Syrian-Turkish border, particularly near “Gaziantep” and it was felt in most of the Syrian Arab Republic.
