The official Syrian news agency “SANA” said on Tuesday that an explosion shook the Umayyad Square in Damascus
The Syrian Agency confirmed that the preliminary information indicates that the explosion was caused by an explosion of an explosive device placed in a car in the Umayyad area of Damascus
A source in the Damascus Police Command said that the explosion occurred in the Umayyad tunnel and wounded one person until now.
And “Sana” announced, earlier, that a civilian was killed and another wounded as a result of the explosion of an explosive device that was placed in a car parked near the Tishreen Stadium in the capital, Damascus.
The explosion in the Umayyad Square is the fifth of its kind in a month in Damascus and the second during today, Tuesday, when two people were wounded, last Thursday, after an explosive device inside a “pickup” car exploded in the Marjeh area, in the center of the Syrian capital.
Before that, an explosive device exploded inside a car, last Tuesday, in the area of Bab Musalla, wounding 5 people with different injuries.
